I’m Resurrecting

Bi-weekly musings of the funny or thinky sort.

It’s been a while since I’ve been in conversation with readers. Writing is sometimes a lonely gig.

But I miss it. I miss you.

When I send out my newsletter (granted, only 8 a year), it’s a one-sided conversation. I review books I’ve enjoyed and provide a short overview of what I’ve been working on. People read it. I can see that and it makes me happy. Then I go back to the keyboard and create. In my silo.

Sure, I write alongside others. I belong to writing communities and I don’t feel alone writing even though I am.

But the best parts of blogs (mumrevised, then adultinginprogress) and even being on Medium was the feedback. Even the haters gave me hope. Except that one. Her all caps email threatening violence was likely not joy-inducing.

I digress.

So I’m resurrecting.

Kristine 4.0 or 5.6 if we go by age. While I’m busy with my manuscripts, I’ll post satire and memoirs you have likely not seen. They made their online debuts years ago. I’ll update them so they are more me today, but the ideas might be recycled.

Reduce. Reuse people.

Don’t reuse people unless without consent.

When I have air, I’ll write something new. You’re welcome to call me on my shit—even in all caps. I’m a forgiving sort. Laughing, crying, and upending your laptop are all encouraged. Sharing is caring. This is not a paid service, so subscribe away. One day I might ask you to buy a book, but you have years to save up for that and No is a complete sentence.

No.

See?

For now, your supportive, constructive, or expletive comments are all I ask for.

Let’s fucking do this!

Love, Laco
